| Linda Ellerbee (herself) hosted this six-episode documentary, which is narrated by Linda Hunt (herself). It focuses on Auschwitz, the concentration camp run by Nazis. There are interviews conducted with former guards and some prisoners. One of the guards, Oskar Groning (himself), has no remorse for what happened in the camp. Many gypsies, Jews, Poles, and Hungarians, among others, suffered or died in the camp. Computer simulations are used to show what the camp looked like, including the barracks and the gas chambers. It lasted for five years until Russians arrived to liberate it. |
