Lion's Gate  (2006) 300 mins
Detective Joe Miller (Peter Krause) comes into possession of a key which, when placed into any ordinary door, extraordinarily transports the bearer to Room 10 of the Sunshine Motel in New Mexico, a room that never actually existed in a motel that was abandoned long ago. Miller learns that, upon entering the room, the bearer can be taken wherever he wants to go simply by visualizing the desired location and walking back through the door. Miller’s daughter, Anna (Elle Fanning) discovers yet another unusual property of the room and key combo. When the door is reclosed, the room “resets” itself so that whatever was done there is undone, and anything or anyone left inside disappears. Anna goes into the room and disappears, and her father begins a desperate quest to find her. Along the way, he discovers that there are over 100 separate objects associated with the room, each providing the holder with its own unique power, and several groups trying to collect them, each for their own reasons. Miller makes contact with longtime collector Karl Kreutzfeld (Kevin Pollak) who has personal reasons for wanting to get his hands on certain objects with particular powers, and teams up with Jennifer Bloom (Julianna Margulies), a member of The Legion, a group attempting to locate and secure all of the objects to keep them from causing any more harm. Miller eventually makes his way to the site of the motel and, with all of the objects in his possession, enters what’s left of the neighboring Room 9 in an attempt to learn its secrets and reclaim his daughter.
