Anna (Deborah Kerr) is a British widow who decides to accept a position as an English tutor for the King of Siam (Yul Brenner) and his many wives and children. As she disembarks from the sailboat with her son, all is not as she was promised. The King wishes her to live in the palace when she was promised her own house.
