Based on Marvel’s hugely popular comic book series, X-Men is the first in a trilogy of movies. Set in the not too distant future, rare genetic mutations give certain individuals, called mutants, fantastic powers. Shunned by the rest of society because of their differences, they are split into two factions: those who seek to live in harmony with humans and those who wish to dominate them. As tensions mount, the groups find themselves battling each other and the intolerant government which seeks to destroy them. Directed by Brian Singer, the film features the characters of Charles Xavier, Magneto, Jean Grey, Cyclops, Wolverine, Rogue, Storm and Sabertooth.... |
