"Poltergeist 2: The Other Side" sees the Freeling family recovering from the events of their strange living situation a few years earlier. After settling from Carol Anne’s (Heather O'Rourke) abduction the family can now watch television again. However not until the spirits are restless once more and show up in the form of Reverend Kane (Julian Beck) who was a zealot responsible for the deaths of many early American pioneers. He’s come to finish what the Beast started. Now, Dianne (Jobeth Williams), Steve (Craig T. Nelson), Robbie (Oliver Robins) and Tangina (Zelda Rubinstein) must once again combine forces to save Carol Anne....

Goofs:
Continuity: When the ghosts attack the station wagon in the garage, a major scene shows the crescent wrenches methodically smashing the headlights. After the car breaks through the garage door, the headlights have restored themselves and show up intact in several later scenes. (more)

Trivia:
Craig T. Nelson comments on Will Sampson perhaps being an escapee from an asylum. In One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest (1975), Sampson played an asylum inmate who escapes. (more)
