Goofs:
Continuity: At the beginning of the film, when Taylor and his crew are trekking out of the forbidden zone, Taylor's backpack disappears and reappears between shots. (more)

Trivia:
In 1968, the movie was originally rated "M" for Mature audience during its initial release ("M" was later changed to "PG" to avoid confusion with the "X" rating). Only during the following theatrical (and drive-in) re-releases was it adjusted to a "G" rating. (more)
