The movie How to Lose Friends & Alienate People is a comedy set in New York city. A somewhat arrogant British outsider finds himself to be a fish out of water when he is given entrée to the fashionable world that he had previously scorned. Sidney Young (Simon Pegg), the young man, is hired by Clayton Harding (Jeff Bridges), the editor of a very stylish magazine named Sharps. Instead of rising smoothly through the ranks, Sidney proceeds to pile gaffe upon faux pas, antagonizing people like his immediate boss Lawrence Maddox (Danny Huston) and celebrity power broker Eleanor Johnson (Gillian Anderson). Along the way, Sidney attempts romance with his colleague Alison Olsen (Kirsten Dunst), and forms an unlikely friendship with a rising starlet named Sophie Maes (Megan Fox)....
