Pineapple Express is a buddy comedy released in 2008 that details the adventures of two potheads on the run after main character Dale Denton (Seth Rogen) observes a murder from the driveway of a drug kingpin's home. Denton, a pot-smoking, high school girl-dating, process server with little life purpose, suddenly realizes his life is in danger and immediately runs to his small-time drug dealer friend, Saul Silver (James Franco).
