Goofs:
Continuity: In Clarissa's first visit to Richard's apartment, she gathers up some garbage and then drops the bags on the floor. Later when she opens the apartment door to leave, the garbage bags are already outside the apartment in the hall. (more)

Trivia:
Zeljko Ivanek actually filmed scenes as Louis Waters with Meryl Streep, only to be replaced with Jeff Daniels later in production. All scenes between Louis and Clarissa were subsequently re-shot. (more)
