In the movie The Accidental Husband a stuck-up celebrity has to confront the revenge of a man whose girlfriend dumped him because of her advice. Emma Lloyd (Uma Thurman) is a somewhat smug and self-assured radio host. She believes that her life is in good order, and she is engaged to marry Richard Bratton (Colin Firth). New York fireman Patrick Sullivan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) also believes his life is in order, until his fiancé Sophia (Justina Machado) seeks advice from Emma. Emma tells her to forget about Patrick. When Patrick finds out why Sophia has left him, he decides to get even by forging a marriage certificate and persuading Emma that she has “accidentally” become his wife, a situation which very much upsets Emma’s ordered world....
