He claims his name is Kris Kringle, and soon fills everyone with Christmas spirit... except his boos, Doris Walker (Maureen )'Hara), who's raising her daughter (Natalie Wood) to not believe in Santa. But when Kringle is declared insane, and put on trial, everyone's faith is put to the test as young and old alike face the age-old question: Do you believe in Santa Claus?...

Continuity: When Kris gets into the car on his way to Bellvue, he enters from the passenger side, and is followed in by a man in a light-colored overcoat. This should place this man to Kris's right inside the car. But when we cut to inside the car, the man is sitting to Kris's left. (more)
