Captain Dan Holland, First Officer Charles Pizer, journalist Harry Booth and scientists Dr. Alex Durant and Dr. Kate McCrae are all aboard and Earth discovery vessel on a fruitless search for life in space, when they encounter a lost spaceship perched on the event horizon of the universe's most powerful phenomenon, a black hole. Notes
Goofs:
Factual errors: When BOB and V.I.N.CENT are preparing to compete against the sentry robots in the shooting gallery, V.I.N.CENT makes a reference to US Navy Admiral David Farragut's famous quote, "Damn the torpedoes, full speed ahead!" BOB replies, "He also said something about going in harm's way!" ADM Farragut did not say this, rather Captain John Paul Jones, recognized as the father of the US Navy. CPT Jones's quote was, "I wish to have no connection with any ship that does not sail fast; for I intend to go in harm's way." (more)
